IMMUNIZATION

With all the disease in the world it is good that we can
obtain shots to keep us from getting sick. Diseases that killed
many in times past before there was immunization are hardly
thought of any more. Some  shots must be renewed now and
then to keep protected. There is a law in our town that we must
have our cats rabies shot renewed every year to keep her free
from this disease.

There is good news that we humans can be protected
against the worst disease in human history. The sickness is called
sin. It will cause the worst kind of death, eternal death. It is not a
shot that we take but it works every time perfectly. It works by a
blood transfusion. Jesus blood makes and keeps us free from sin.
We obtain this forgiveness  by repenting and being baptized in
Jesus name for forgiveness of our sins (Acts 2:38) but we must
keep under its protection. The Bible gives us some examples of
staying under the protection of the blood.

Exo 12:13  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the
houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over
you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I
smite the land of Egypt.

Exo 12:22  And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the
blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side
posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go
out at the door of his house until the morning.

Jos 2:18  Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind
this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us
down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy
brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee.

Jos 2:19  And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors
of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and
we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the
house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

The message is clear stay under the blood to be
protected.

How can I stay protected?
!. By keeping faith in the blood of Jesus to protect us.
2. By asking God for forgivness when we slip and sin.
3. By repentance not just being sorry for doing wrong, but turning
from that wrong.

There have been some famous preachers
who’s name was a household word. They came crashing down in
sin. Was it their ministry that failed? It was their daily walk with
God that failed. They sinned and didn’t keep it under the blood.

A great man like Apostle Paul in the Bible was afraid of this
happening to him.

1Co 9:27  But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:
lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself
should be a castaway.

How can there be so many Christians sick from sin?
They don’t keep their immunization current. They give us notice
that we must keep the anti-virus program on our PC turned on to
be protected from viruses.

What would have happened if the Israelis would
not have stayed in their houses when the death angel passed by?
What would have happened id Rehab and her family had not
stayed in the house protected by the red cord in the window?

A king in the Bible named Saul who was king over all
Israel, thought that he was so great that he didn’t have to obey
God’s laws. He did wrong and didn’t repent, never told God he
was sorry, never tried to change. He was out from God’s
protection.

1Sa 15:17  And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own
sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the
LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

1Sa 15:23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and
stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast
rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from
being king.

Have we grown so big and important that we feelwe
don’t have to repent ( be sorry for and turn from wrong)

The Apostle Paul always had a fear  in preachig to
others that they should be faithful in obeying God, he should fail to
obey himself. Don’t fail to get immunized and keep it up to date.

Stay protected.
